Yeah, this one!

T is an expert in mixing Japanese and English. Here is the latest one. His grandparents taught him how to say "yeah, this one" in English. So now when he is talking with me he goes "yeah, kocchi one" - and guess what kocchi means... It means "this way" or "this particular one". He also says "Yeah, kore one" and kore means "this". :) At least he mixes them logically!

The Olympics started yesterday, and I am in a dangerous territory... I am terrible at these sports events because I LOVE watching them. So even this morning, I put the TV on in search of an Olympics channel despite the protest from T that he wants cartoons!

In the kids show T is watching right now, they showed what knitting needles are. And they also showed someone knitting. They should have flown over to Canada too get my knit friends to demonstrate. This lady could NOT knit. At least demonstrate someone really cool!!!!

T has been talking quite a bit these days. He really cracks me up because when he talks, he speaks in whatever language that comes to his mind.

Yesterday, he broke his Anpanman sponge in the bathtub. It's a round-faced character and he tore off a bit at its right ear. So these are what he said to me, in this order, in this particular fashion.

"Oh oh, Ear nai(not here)"
"Broke it."
"Itai (ouch)"
"mimi(ear) gone"
"what did you do?"
"nani-hoshii (what do you want?!)"

He is just stringing words together in the way it makes sense to him and he really has no clue he is speaking Japanese or English right now. Currently he communicates best with people who are bilingual *lol*

T told me that he needed to go PooPoo!!!Yay!!!
T slept from 10pm to 7am without waking up this morning... This is what I call pleasure! What a difference this makes to my moods.... He is almost 2 and a half and he still wakes up on average 2-3 times a night. AND he doesn't fall asleep until it is 9:30 or something on days he naps even a half hour!

I am a person that needs a LOT of sleep. I have been sleep deprived for almost 2.5 years and it really gets to me. It is especially sad now that he doesn't nap on most days. It means I don't even get to nap!

I have been struggling with this ever since he was born... But really, THIS is what a lot of parents get to experience??! Wow!!!!

Gymnastics class

T attended the trial session of a gymnastics class. He was at first not really sure of what it was and cried a bit but he soon recovered and started enjoying his class. He liked it so much so that he couldn't wait for his turns.

It allowed me to discover a few things about him - he doesn't really understand Japanese instructions yet... it is something he will have to learn. Also, he is not able to sit still/listen to instructions! Of course, he is only two and other kids in the class were unable to do. But I think it will be a great chance for him to learn some classroom manners. It is not super important right now, but he tends to be spoiled so it will be nice for him to get some practice...

All in all, it was a good experience for both him and me so I have signed us up for these classes. I am looking forward to next Thursday.
